Dear friends, graduates of the Master’s program in sport & exercise Psychology (UTH),

We very much hope that all of you are doing well and you enjoy your life and careers.
We are pleased to announce that we will create an alumni society for the graduates of the Master program in Sport & Exercise Psychology of the University of Thessaly, including both international and Greek former Master students and now colleagues. This alumni society will help you to stay connected with your colleagues and friends that you met in our program, the lecturers of our program, our invited international and Greek sport psychologists and maybe to meet new people from the academia and the market who will be connected with us. This sustained network might strengthen the position of each of you by providing networking, news in our profession, exchange of experiences and ideas, new opportunities in jobs and professional development. Our alumni group will also join other groups in sport and exercise psychology, such as the alumni group of the European Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology, the European Network of Young Sport Psychologists, etc.

The first alumni meeting in which you can participate physically or online will take place on Friday 5 December 2014, at 18.00 in TEFAA/Trikala, i.e., the evening just before the start of the National Congress of Sport Psychology with International Participation that will take place in Trikala 6-7 December 2014. Hence, those of you who will travel to Trikala for the Congress can come to Trikala on Friday night to meet us and spend this night just with us and with the members of the Managing Council of FEPSAC who will be our official guests.
We expect to have a 2-hour meeting 18.00-20.00 and after the meeting we will go to one of the Trikala tavernas that you know which still offers the same food, wine and beers.

Those of you who cannot come physically you can still participate in the meeting online. We will have an electronic meeting system/web conferencing for this purpose. We will send you the address of the online system in due time.
We will offer a couple of minutes to each of you to say few things about where you are now and what you are doing, what are your plans and later we will ask you to participate in a discussion regarding the future of this alumni society. We need your ideas about how we can use effectively the collective strength that our alumni society provides and how we can all benefit from it.
In the next few weeks we will also send you a facebook address for the alumni society group. You can start providing some photos, news, ideas and suggestions to this facebook group.
Those of you who will come physically to Trikala you can also submit an abstract for a poster presentation in the Congress, please visit the Congress web address http://research.pe.uth.gr/eaps2014/index.php/sitemap
Until 17 October 2014, please send an email to Mrs. Filippou Konstantina (Nantia) Αυτή η διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου προστατεύεται από κακόβουλη χρήση. Georgia is one of the first graduates of our Master’s program in exercise psychology and is helping us to create the alumni society. Nantia is working now in the sport psychology lab of our university. We need this information from you until 17 October because (1) we must inform hoteliers to keep accommodation for a number of rooms (and then each of you to book your accommodation) because there are many tourists in Trikala that time due to Christmas celebrations and the hotels are overbooked, (2) we must know how many participants will be online in order to order in advance the appropriate online meeting system, (3) to make on time all other necessary preparations concerning the program of this meeting.
All of us in Trikala we are absolutely sure that you will enjoy this meeting with us and your participation in the first event of our alumni society!
On behalf of the professors, students and staff at the Master’s program of Sport & Exercise Psychology at the University of Thessaly,
Athanasios Papaioannou
